Chemistry Assessment Test
The Fullerton College Assessment Center offers required assessment tests for enrollment in Chemistry 111AF.
All placement testing is by appointment only. Walk-in testing will not be available.
Before scheduling an appointment
Items 1-2 below must be completed before assessment can be administered. If not completed, you will not be able to test and will have to reschedule for different date.
- Submit a Fullerton College application and receive your Banner/Student ID#
- Complete and pass the online new student orientation accessed through your myGateway. All new and returning students must complete the orientation. If you are having difficulty accessing the online orientation at home, please contact the Assessment Center for more information.
On the day of your Chemistry Assessment appointment
You must bring a valid identification (e.g. CA driver’s license or other state driver’s license, State of CA issued identification card, current high school ID, Passport, Federal Identification Card, Tribal Identification Card Naturalization Card or Military ID).
Expired documents (bearing expiration dates that have passed) cannot be accepted.
This is a multiple-choice paper/pencil test with 44 questions and a 45-minute time limit. Books and notes are not allowed, but basic calculators are permitted. The Periodic Table of the Elements and a table of symbols and abbreviations are provided on the back of each test booklet.
Please allow 45 minutes to complete them exam. Test results will be available after 2 business days.
The Chemistry Assessment test can only be taken one time.

If, after submitting your application to Fullerton College and you cannot access the assessment appointment system, your application has not been processed yet, please wait 24 – 48hrs after applying to the college before attempting to schedule your appointment again.
